“And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the Earth:
blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
The Sun shall be turned into darkness,
and the Moon into blood,
before the coming great and awesome Day of the Lord,
and it shall come to pass
that whoever calls on the Name of the LORD
shall be saved.”
For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.
“If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened.
But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
Food for Thought
Curiosity of human towards Doomsday or End of the Times has always been at the peak; variety of people has been postulating theories about the end of the times. Researchers and thinkers have been studying scientific evidence, religious books, astronomy and other such material to arrive at a logically and scientifically firm period but no agreeable firm period has yet been floated in the market. Thinking logically, all that starts also have an end, so should happen with our universe also. I will not predict time but I can say one thing with certainty, an average young human has maximum 20 to 50 years. World Average Life Expectancy at the time of birth is 69.6 Years, so everyone can calculate maximum left over time according to life expectancy figures. This is maximum expected time nobody knows the minimum. Who is bothered about End of the Times, Living or Dead? I do not know about the dead, since I am still alive but I have seen lots of predications and papers by persons while alive. When dead you can no more improve upon your deeds, therefore, for the dead it is already End of Times. Christian Faith gives us hope of eternal life provided we endure and remain faithful.
