Interpret your Dreams

The king replied to the astrologers, “This is what I have firmly decided: If you do not tell me what my dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into pieces and your houses turned into piles of rubble. But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor. So tell me the dream and interpret it for me.”

Daniel  2:5-6

Palmists, astrologers, soothsayers, magicians, faith healers, fortunetellers, exorcists, mystics and miracle makers fleece rich and poor by taking advantage of their weak faith and vulnerabilities. In third world countries, where education and wealth is scarce, people visit these swindlers for getting all sort of their problems resolved. People are there for getting married, child, job, revenge, wealth, health, success in business and so on so forth.

I remember an educated person visiting such a swindler to get back his stolen currency. The swindler after getting fees in an expert manner, told him the generalized figure of the thief that can resemble thousands of people and indicated an area, where the money was supposedly deposited in a bank. Ironically, the area indicated had at least 50 Banks. The person concern was still happy and had a great regard for the supernatural powers of saint (swindler). King Nebuchadnezzar was wiser when he told the astrologers first to tell the dream and then the interpretation.

“Then Daniel returned to his house and explained the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah. 18 He urged them to plead for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery, so that he and his friends might not be executed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon”.

Daniel  2:17-18

When we get into trouble, we often do not trust God, keep trying various other options, and after becoming hopeless blame God for our misfortune. The difficult situation was converted into an opportunity for Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, when they contacted God and trusted in Him. At hard times we must also look toward the God for guidance, pray, wait and act as per His guidance. I am sure we will get out of all our troubles and setbacks.

May God Bless Us All
