Be Merciful

Verse of the Day

Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.  LUKE 6:36Prison

Mrs. Johnson’s son, Laramiun Byrd, 20, was shot in the head by 16-year-old Israel after an argument at a party in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Israel, who was involved with drugs and gangs, was tried as an adult and sentenced to 25 and a half years.  “My son was gone. I was angry and hated this boy, hated his mother” said Mrs. Johnson. Later she forgave Israel and met him regularly in prison, when Israel was released from prison, Mrs. Johnson introduced him to her landlord – who with her blessing, invited Israel to move into the building.  He now lives next door to the mother of the young man he murdered. Mrs. Johnson said: “Unforgiveness is like cancer. It will eat you from the inside out”. Let see what “Word of God” teach us:-

“If you forgive others for the wrongs they do to you, your Father in heaven will forgive you. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins”. MATTHEW 6:14–15

Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy”. MATTHEW 5:7

file (3)Prayer of the Day

O Lord, we thank you for your great love and sacrifice that YOU sent your own Son Jesus Christ to take away our sins. He sacrificed his own life to wash away our sins and make us free from all bonds of evil. O Lord we pray from you to make us humble, gentle and kind, so that we can forgive all those who do injustice with us or discriminate us in any other way. O Lord we again thank you for love and mercy. Amen
