Verse of the Day
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17
Food for Thought
A Father wanted to see his ever disputing twins happy, on their birthday he gave them checkers game, for some time they were happy playing checkers and then they started quarrelling like before. On their next birthday game he gave them X Box, for few days they were happy but again they started fighting with each other. He decided to get help from priest. Priest gave him a copy of bible and said you must read one story out of it daily to the kids, before going bed, the kids would be okay. Slowly and gradually, father noticed that there was a lot of change in kid’s behavior. He called the kids and asked them” what has really changed them” the kids replied “it is the change in your behavior papa”. The daily bible reading not only changed the kids, it had also transformed the father’s behavior.
When we read or listen to bible, we are in fact reading or listening to the words of God, if we really read or listen it with full concentration, it really changes our lives. We often read or listen to bible, but we are not fully concentrating on it, our mind is entangled in different worldly matters, resultantly we do not get the desired the benefit. When we come to Lord, we have to come with full heart and complete mind.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Heavenly Father, we thank you for Your powerful words that you have gifted us in shape of Holy Bible. Your words have ability to transform our life from bad to best. Holy Father, we are genetically more attracted towards evil than good, devil is always ready to take advantage of our vulnerabilities. Holy Father, let Your words change our life, so that after completing our worldly journey, we can dwell with you in eternal home that you prepared for us in heaven. In name Jesus, accept our prayers. Amen
