After his death should the name of “Qaddafi Cricket Stadium” Changed???

Qaddafi Cricket Stadium,Lahore, Pakistan

Pakistan has a history of frequently changing the names of cities, roads and structures, Faisalabad (Lyallpur), Sahiwal (Montgomery), Benizer Intl Airport etc are examples. A lobby is actively pursuing the case that the name of “Qaddafi Cricket Stadium Lahore” shall be changed after his death. The name of any city or structure or place represents history rather deeds or misdeeds of a person. Trying to role up and down with the rising or descending waves depicts that how light weight as a nation we are. We as nation should show maturity stability in our behavior and shall not act compulsively. If name of Qaddafi Cricket Stadium stays it will not in anyway prove that Moummer Qaddafi was a great a leader.

Qaddafi Cricket Stadium was first used on 21 November, 1959. Overall 58 One day international matches and 40 test matches have been played so far.  Located in the historical city of Lahore, the Gaddafi Stadium, named after the Libyan leader, was completely renovated during 1995-96 ready for the 1996 World Cup. Designed by the famous architect Nayyar Ali Dada who modeled it on the Mughal School of red hand-laid brickwork and arches, the new stadium is completely covered with plastic seating rather than concrete benches. The lower portion under the stands has been enclosed and converted to shops for boutiques and offices. This was the first stadium in Pakistan to be equipped with modern floodlights which have their own standby power generators. Modern facilities for the media are also provided Lahore cricket stadium is the largest cricket stadium in Pakistan. It can accommodate approximately 60,000 audiences in one match.
